Late Ch. CHANDER SINGH was a respected and beloved figure in his community, known for his unwavering dedication to public service and social welfare. Fondly remembered as a “Samaj Sevak” (Social Worker), he devoted his life to uplifting the underprivileged and voiceless sections of society. His journey was not just one of leadership but of compassion, integrity, and tireless advocacy for social change.

Ch. CHANDER SINGH served with distinction as the President of the Resident Welfare Association (RWA), where he played a pivotal role in improving civic amenities, ensuring fair representation of residents’ concerns, and fostering a spirit of unity and cooperation among community members. His leadership style was inclusive and visionary, and he earned the trust and admiration of countless families who saw in him a true guardian of their rights and well-being.

One of his most notable contributions was through his work with the CRL Foundation, a non-governmental organization (NGO) dedicated to the welfare of children and women. As a passionate advocate for social justice, he championed numerous initiatives aimed at improving access to education, healthcare, and safety for underprivileged children and empowering women through skill development and awareness programs. Mission

Our mission is to ensure holistic development of underprivileged children by providing access to quality education, healthcare, nutrition, and a safe environment—empowering them to break the cycle of poverty and become confident, responsible citizens.

CRL Foundation is to empower underprivileged children, youth and women through relevant education, innovative healthcare and market-focused livelihood programmes. CRL Foundation is to deploy best possible methodology and technology for achieving ideal SROI (social return on investment), to practice and promote good governance. To link business competitiveness of the corporate with social development initiatives; also to sensitize privileged children, youth and citizens in general to promote Civic Driven Change.

Philosophy of Change

We strive to empower children and women through education, healthcare, and livelihood support, fostering lasting change that is community-driven and rooted in dignity, equality, and opportunity.

As a development organization, our primary aim has always been to work directly at the grassroots level to improve the lives of underprivileged children and families, while equally striving to ensure that this change is long-lasting.

By creating awareness and involving the more privileged sections of society in fulfilling their social responsibilities, CRL Foundation goes beyond working only at the grassroots. With a vision for sustainable development in a broader social framework, it follows the model of Civic Driven Change—encouraging active participation of civil society in all its welfare efforts.

The LifeCycle Approach

By adopting a lifecycle approach, we aim to support underprivileged children through every stage of their development—ensuring consistent access to education, healthcare, nutrition, and a safe environment to help them grow into empowered and responsible individuals.

We see education as both a tool and a goal for a better future: a tool because it equips individuals with the skills to earn a livelihood, and a goal because it broadens their understanding of key issues—from health and social conduct to knowing their rights—helping them grow into responsible citizens. Education is the most powerful medium that helps children lay a solid foundation and break free from the cycle of poverty, illiteracy, and poor health.

How We Work

We adopt a holistic, community-based approach to support underprivileged children and women by focusing on education, healthcare, nutrition, skill development, and protection. Through grassroots partnerships, awareness campaigns, and sustainable programs, we empower individuals and communities to lead dignified and self-reliant lives.

Empowering Through Partnership

Inspired by the principles of venture capital, this model emphasizes collaboration with grassroots organizations. We identify credible community-based groups and support them with capacity-building, leadership development, and strategic guidance to help scale their impact sustainably while ensuring accountability and excellence.

Direct Community Engagement

For high-impact results in underserved and remote areas, we lead projects directly under this model. With professional expertise and on-ground presence, we implement initiatives that require deep engagement, working closely with local communities to maximize outcomes and ensure long-term change.

Why Trust Us

With years of committed work at the grassroots level, we have earned the trust of communities, donors, and partners alike. Our transparent processes, measurable impact, and community-driven approach ensure that every contribution is used effectively. We work with integrity, accountability, and compassion to empower underprivileged children and women, creating lasting change in their lives.

Credibility and accountability are the cornerstones of CRL Foundation’s work, upheld through strong adherence to good governance practices across all operations.
